Hilary Clinton’s emotional concession speech will really move you to tears. As in every election, there n will be a winner and a loser yet many Americans including the media expected the loser would be President-Elect Donald Trump. And as such, Hilary had one last speech to give: her concession.
She was introduced by her VP candidate Tim Kaine, and came out to uproarious applause and chants of ‘Hillary, Hillary’. Clinton nearly choked up as she began:
“Thank you so very much for being here, and I love you all too. Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump… I hope he will be a successful president for all Americans.”
“I’m sorry we did not win this election for the vision we hold and the values we share.”
Of her staff, Clinton said, “You represent the best of America, and being your candidate as been one of the greatest honors of my life.”
It’s round about then that she started tugging on the heart strings: “I know how disappointed you feel, because I feel it too. This is painful, and it will be for a long time. But I want you to remember this: our campaign was never about one person, or even one election. It was about the country we love, and about building an America that’s hopeful, inclusive, and big-hearted.”
