According to a reliable source at the Directorate of Social Communications, Catholic Arch Diocese of Abuja, Fr. Ojukwu died in the early hours of Thursday at a Monastery in Ijebu Ode.
He was untill his death the Parish Priest of Holy Cross Catholic Parish, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Father O, as he was popularly known by most of his admirers and parishioners was the pioneer parish priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maitama, Abuja.
He set a record for being a Parish Priest that commenced the construction of a magnificent church building and served to witness its dedication within a record time.
He was a committed member of Knights of St. John International and was the Charter Spiritual Adviser of Holy Trinity Commandery #574, Maitama Abuja.
Father Ojukwu will be most remembered for his Soup Kitchen, a philanthropic project he started a few years ago to carter for the hungry in our society irrespective of religious affiliation.
