What Do Catholics Mean When We Call Mary “Ever Virgin”?

We as Catholics firmly believe that Mary is “ever virgin.” The Catechism asserts, “The deepening of faith in the virginal motherhood led the Church to confess Mary’s real and perpetual virginity even in the act of giving birth to the Son of God made man” (#499). Given this teaching, the perpetual virginity of Mary has traditionally been defended and examined in three parts: Mary’s conception of Christ (virginitas ante partum); her giving birth to Christ (virginitas in partu); and her remaining a virgin after the birth of Christ (virginitas post partum). This formulation was used by many of the early Church Fathers– St. Augustine, St. Peter Chrysologus, Pope St. Leo the Great, St. Gregory Nazianzus, and St. Gregory Nyssa. For example, the Catechism quotes St. Augustine’s elaboration: Mary “remained a virgin in conceiving her Son, a virgin in giving birth to Him, a virgin in carrying Him, a virgin in nursing Him at her breast, always a virgin” (#510).

These Priests Have Made a Pact With Satan To Kill Pope Francis: Vatican Investigating Occultism

As As reported by Catholic Online  the Vatican is investigating the Heralds of the Gospel, which some say participates in cult practices and has made a pact with Satan. The investigation is being led by the Vatican Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life.
The organization was founded in 1995 following the death of Plinio Correa de Oliveria (Dr. Plinio), founder of the Tradition, Family and Property Association. Dr. Plinio was an intellectual, ultra-conservative Catholic who went so far as to protest the opening of the Second Vatican Council.

The organization he founded split into two groups. One group remains faithful to the original mission of the organization, but the second group, known as the Heralds of the Gospel, seems ot have taken a more dramatic path.

These Nuns Have Spent 140 Years Adoring Jesus In The Blessed Sacrament Non Stop

It’s almost 140 years and these Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration have been adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament non stop.

The group dates back to 1849 when a small band of women from Bavaria started the Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the purpose of spreading the Gospel among German immigrants. In 1856, they started helping at a local seminary, but the work quickly became too demanding. With too much to do and unable to live a proper religious prayer life, some of the community’s founders left.

The remaining women decided to refocus their mission and moved their convent to Jefferson, WI in 1864. Then, in 1871, they moved again to the newly formed Diocese of La Crosse, WI. But they were still searching for their purpose.

Spanish Catholics Stage ‘Prayer Protest’ After Muslim Mass Prayer At Christian Landmark

© Ruptly

Catholics in the Spanish city of Granada struck back at what they described as a “provocative” decision to stage a Ramadan fast-breaking in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary, by arranging a mass public prayer at the same spot.

“We are here because we can’t allow that to happen. They can’t do it in Granada. They can do so in their place, but not in the Jardines del Triunfo that has been ours for so long,” a Catholic at the event told RT’s Ruptly video agency.

The present-day Jardines del Triunfo started off as 13th century Islamic cemetery during the Muslim occupation of Spain, but is now dominated by a 17th century statue of the Immaculate Conception, located atop a towering pillar.

Eucharistic Challenges! Homily For Corpus Christi, 2017 By Rev. Fr. Emma. N. Asogwa

Permit me today to glide over the normal salivating eucharistic theologies (which abound in the sequence of today) that should normally ornament a homily of today’s sort and to focus immediately on the Challenges which a celebration like today’s naturally evoke.

This is because it would not be possible for us today, within the margined confines of our space and time, to accommodate all that could be said about the Eucharist.

Secondly, in talking about the challenges, we would have the leverage to reflect shortly on the theological background behind each eucharistic challenge. Hence our Theme! These challenges are hereby highlighted as appreciation, utilization, preparation/purification, imitation and communion!

Story Of The Astronaut Who Took The Holy Eucharist To Space

* He was a Convert to Catholicism

Mike Hopkins was raised in a Protestant family, but married a Catholic woman. Though they were raising their two daughters as Catholics, he wasn’t sure it was for him right away, until he said he “felt that something was missing in my life.”

After a period of discernment, he eventually joined RCIA and was received into full communion in the Catholic Church. But that raised a question for him when he was sent to the International Space Station as an astronaut in 2013 for 24 weeks: how would he receive the Sacraments?
He couldn’t celebrate Mass or do Reconciliation without a priest. But he would be able to receive the Eucharist if he took consecrated host with him to space.

Catholic Worship is Dull! By Fr. Michael Numbe

Points you may take note of:

1. Authentic Catholics know that it is SOLEMN rather than dull. They love it so

2. Worship is not for ENTERTAINMENT. During worship humanity gives God his due and then ask Him for its needs. There are very many places that offer fun and entertainment. The Church cannot compete with them!

3. Real worship MUST GIVE YOU A DIFFERENT FEELING from all other experiences. You are not supposed to feel the same way you feel at a birthday party, night club, office, beer parlour, motor park, home, school etc. Worshipping is a SACRED ACTIVITY.

Novena Prayer To The Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, to your Holy Hearts do I come to beg for the infinite merits and graces that only God can give.

Jesus, Your Sacred Heart is burning with love for me. I know that you love all of us so much. How often have we hurt You by our sin. How often have I put thorns into Your Holy Heart, by my sin. I am sorry O Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Mary, your Immaculate Heart, loves each one of us as a child. Your heart too is wounded by the sin of the people. What people do by sin to the Heart of Jesus they do to you too. Your holy heart is so sad because people are indifferent to the love and mercy offered by Jesus.

With your Immaculate Heart, O Mary, and with Your Sacred Heart, Lord Jesus, I offer your love with this prayer to our Heavenly Father, and through your Holy Hearts humbly request…

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, I shall never be able to thank you enough for loving me so much. I offer my love in return and hope that your Holy Hearts will find some joy in my poor unworthy heart. AMEN

(See Video) Blessed Virgin Mary Appears In Knock Ireland on 10th June 2017

According to, the footage is emotional and difficult to believe, but it is genuine and verified by the cameras of hundreds of other eyewitnesses. A crowd of people gathered in Knock, Ireland at 3 PM, June 10, saw a promised vision of the Virgin Mary in the sky.

The sun appeared as an elongated shape in the videos, not as a circle. Rays of light were also captured on camera. As clouds passed before the sun, filtering out the brightest light, people were able to look directly at the vision. They reported the vision moved, and spun, a classic miracle of the sun, often associated with apparitions of the Virgin Mary.

The sight alone is moving and astounding. There is no evidence on video that is so clearly genuine or so remarkable. But what makes this apparition even more compelling is that it was predicted by a 14-year-old boy.
